Scotland

PUK's Scottish team, based in our Edinburgh office, works closely with the Scottish Executive's Financial Partnerships Unit, the Scottish Executive's Health Department Private Finance and Capital Unit and a range of local authority and other public sector clients across a broad spectrum of public private partnerships (in its broadest sense) and related policy areas.

Recent and ongoing assignments include:

  • Development partnership support to the Argyll and Bute Council schools project, the first to be structured using a non-profit-distributing organisation;

  • Development partnership support to Dumfries & Galloway Council on their Schools PPP;

  • Key Stage Reviews for the Scottish Executive's Financial Partnerships Unit in the schools, health and waste sectors;

  • Board participation on Infrastructure Investment Core Processes Project Development;

  • Partnership support to the Forestry Commission's 'Forest Holidays' joint venture PPP;

  • Support across the Scottish Executive Waste Programme in Project Board role

  • Support to TIE Ltd (the City of Edinburgh Council's subsidiary transport procurement company) on the Edinburgh tram scheme, and Edinburgh Airport Rail Link, and;

  • Ongoing support to Operational PPP projects, liaising with the HMT Operational Taskforce and HMT Refinancing Taskforce as appropriate.
