Partnerships UK announces new Chairman

11/01/2010

"After nearly three years on the Board of Partnerships UK plc and latterly as Chairman, Gordon Horsfield has decided to step down from the role.

Existing PUK Board member Gren Folwell has been appointed as Chairman with immediate effect and will help lead PUK through the period in which capabilities supporting major projects are transferred to the Government’s newly established Infrastructure UK. Gren will work with new Chief Executive Michael Gerrard on all aspects of PUK’s business in the coming period.

Gren Folwell said: “I want to place on record my warm thanks to Gordon Horsfield for the tremendous service he has given to Partnerships UK, first as a member of the Board and as Chairman. He has helped steer the organisation through a significant period of change and challenge and has ensured that as Infrastructure UK gets underway, the advice and support we have been able to provide to public bodies is of a quality that has preserved and secured much-needed investment, even in tough economic times.”
