PARTNERSHIPS UK COMPLETES ITS NON-EXECUTIVE BOARD


08/10/2001 Partnerships UK has completed its board with the appointment of Judith Hanratty as the final private sector non-executive representative. Judith Hanratty joins two other private sector non-executive directors, Tim Stevenson and Gren Folwell, on the board of Partnerships UK which also includes Sir Steve Robson and Jon Cunliffe as the Treasury appointees. Derek Higgs, Chairman of PUK said: "The interests of the public sector are best served where there is a good balance and mix of skills and expertise across all sectors. Partnerships UK is now well served by its private sector members to ensure that its approach to delivery is of the highest quality." Judith Hanratty is. Company Secretary of BP plc, a Member of the Council of Lloyd's and Chairman of the Commonwealth Institute. She is a member of the Competition Commission and of the Takeover Panel. She also serves as an Honorary Fellow of Lucy Cavendish College Cambridge and as a Governor of the College of Law. NOTES TO EDITORS 1. Partnerships UK, a public private partnership, was launched in June 2000 as a Government owned company. It successfully completed a capital raising exercise in March 2001 which resulted in the sale of 51% of the shares to private sector investors.
