| Property / Regeneration
Effective deployment of land and
property resources to delivery public services is
central to the PUK mission. It is a factor in all
sectors of government investment - including; Education,
Health, Housing, Transport, Defence, Criminal Justice,
Environment and others – at National, regional and local
levels.
PUK provides a strategic property capability to the
public sector that:
-
Works alongside the public sector to develop effective
policies for land and property to support public service
delivery;
-
Enhances the public sector's “intelligent client”
function on specific projects that involve land and/or
property where there is an intention to involve the
private sector;
-
Helps deliver the accommodation and services that the
public sector needs to support its operations;
- Supports the development of partnerships to
optimise returns from surplus assets/liabilities and
support wider markets initiatives;
- Provides access for PUK colleagues to tactical
and technical advice on property and property market
related issues as and when required.
Examples of
recent property related projects include:

Vehicle Licensing Agency on the procurement of a Value
for Money PFI partner in relation to its Estates

its buildings in Swansea and provision of a range of
