After nearly three years on the Board of Partnerships UK plc and latterly as Chairman, Gordon Horsfield has decided to step down from the role.

n his Pre-Budget Report, the Chancellor today announced the creation of Infrastructure UK (IUK) to act as the focal point for the UK’s infrastructure strategy, financing, development and delivery. As part of this initiative, it is intended that the capabilities within Partnerships UK (PUK) which support the delivery of major projects and programmes will transfer to Infrastructure UK.

Partnerships UK joins with 4Ps to create a new joint venture – Local Partnerships

At the Local Government Association conference yesterday James Stewart, Cllr Edward Lord and Cllr Margaret Eaton jointly announced the formation of Local Partnerships - a new organisation, designed to work both for and with local public bodies and to support the improvement of public services and infrastructure at the community level. The new organisation - owned jointly by the Local Government Association and Partnerships UK - will comprise all of the activities of local government’s project delivery specialist, 4ps, as well as a number of Partnerships UK’s activities.
